Prosperity Denver Fund (PDF) is excited to announce that Adriana Lopez has been named its new Director of Communications.
In her role, Adriana will lead communications at PDF, working to raise awareness of the organization and highlight the impact of investments in the future of Denver’s students. She officially joined PDF on March 1, completing the all-women executive leadership team.
“Adriana’s extensive experience, leadership skills, and passion for community make her a fantastic fit for Prosperity Denver Fund,” said Rebecca Arno, Chief Executive Officer. “It’s especially great that she has deep roots in both the Denver community and in the field of education.”
Adriana brings over 15 years of experience in marketing, communications and community outreach from government, nonprofit and education sectors. Adriana earned her master’s degree in International and Intercultural Communication from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Technical Communication and a certificate in Women’s Studies from Colorado State University. A fourth-generation Denverite, Adriana has strong ties to the community and has served in various leadership roles, including as board co-chair at Museo de las Americas, president of the Valverde Neighborhood Association, past mentor at Denver Kids and graduate of the Latino Leadership Institute.
“As a former first-generation student, this is a wonderful chance to make a real impact on the lives of Denver students, helping them succeed in our city, earn a living wage, and give back to their communities,” Adriana said. “I’m here to advance the mission of Prosperity Denver Fund and Denverites who believe in investing in our homegrown talent and the future of our city.”
